Best Paper Award

The Best Paper Award will be selected based on the initial review process of the initial full papers followed by reviewing the Proceedings Papers and visitation (by unidentified judges) during the presentation of candidate papers. The final assessment and selection criteria will be based on several key parameters, including: technical quality of the paper, authors’ knowledge of the field, presentation effectiveness and clarity, engagement in substantive question & answer, etc.

Please note that the paper must be presented by one of its authors. 

Best Student Paper Award

The Best Student Paper Award will be assigned to a paper whose authors are ALL students (undergraduate/PhD student). The paper must be presented by one of its authors.

The Best Student Paper will be selected based on the initial review process of the initial full papers followed by reviewing the Proceedings Papers and visitation (by unidentified judges) during the presentation of candidate papers.

Students interested in entering their paper in the Best Student Paper Award should indicate their intent by answering affirmative to the specific question during the initial full paper submission using the EDAS submission system

**Please note:  If there are not at least 3 high quality papers in this category, no award will be given.

Best Women in Engineering Paper Award

The Best Women in Engineering Paper Award will be assigned to a paper, which must be the primary work of the woman who present it.

The Best Women in Engineering Paper will be selected based on the initial review process of the initial full papers followed by reviewing the Proceedings Papers and visitation (by unidentified judges) during the presentation of candidate papers.

**Please note:  If there are not at least 3 high quality papers in this category, no award will be given.

Best Poster Award

The Best Poster Award will be assigned to a paper, which is presented as a poster. The poster must be presented by one of its authors.

The Best Poster will be selected by reviewing the Proceedings Papers and by visitation (by unidentified judges) during the poster sessions. The judges will assess the quality and clarity of the poster, as well as the effectiveness of the presenter explanations to the poster viewers.

**Please note:  If there are not at least 3 high quality candidates in this category, no award will be given.
